Annotated photos:

In this photograph, we can see a close-up shot of a model. The model is painted two separate colours. The first colour that can be seen is white - the white is used in the left-hand side of the shot. This is due to the fact that her left side has been painted with the white paint. The right-hand side contrasts against the white due to the fact that it is black. The difference with the shot is that two faces have been created with the model's one face. The paint has been positioned on her face to make it look like there is a face looking to the left. This works really well as it creates an illusion towards the audience. The black background makes the white stand out but makes the right-hand side blend into it.
This photograph is different to usual portraits due to the fact that we cannot see the face of the model. The shot contains a light grey background which allows for the model's skin to stand out well. The model's hair is a silver/grey but because the shade is darker, it doesn't blend into the background. The model can be seen to be wearing no clothes. We know this because of the fact that we can see the skin on her back. The shot shows the model to be placing her hands over her shoulders. The difference with this shot is that there is a black liquid dripping down her body. This is due to the fact that the shot is showing her scratching her back to the point where it bleeds. The black colour of the blood contrasts against the lighter colours seen within the shot - in this case the skin, hair and background.
This photograph contains a woman who is seen to be in a studio. The background is a grey colour and contrasts against the colour of the skin and colour of the top - which is a turquoise. The photograph captures a woman who is holding up a picture of a woman who is looking to the right of the shot. The woman is wearing the same coloured top as the woman in the photograph. The picture lines up with the body outline of the model. This therefore results in a completed portrait of the woman. The background colour of the picture also matches up with the background colour of the photograph and therefore it makes it look like it's all one image.
